We have been greatly supported, financially and through volunteer efforts, by several local church congregations and are extremely grateful for the ongoing gifts. We would especially like to highlight a few of our biggest supporters:
- First United Methodist Church has supported us financially since we opened our doors. In addition to a monthly gift, they also contribute through their women's groups and the Thrift Shop. There were several months when, without their financial support, we would have struggled to stay open. We cannot say enough how much the support of First United has meant to our program.
- Christ Lutheran Church members have volunteered to transport our program participants to appointments they had outside of Montgomery County. To that end, they transported one of our participants to Noblesville, Indiana, each week for her visits with her children--a two-hour drive with an additional two hours for the visitation! They have transported participants to Court hearings and probation appointments in other counties. Transporting our participants has been invaluable and deeply appreciated, both by our participants and by us!
- St. John's Episcopal Church has assisted with food, supply, and financial donations. In May 2019, St. John's presented a gift of $1700 to Half Way Home to support our mission!
We would also like to thank Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, and River of Life Church, who have also been a support to our program.
